My platinum palladium print, Into the Lights, was selected for inclusion in In Focus: A Survey of Bay Area Photography, an exhibition by the East Bay Photo Collective (EBPCO) celebrating its 5th anniversary. Ann Jastrab, executive director of the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, served as the juror. The exhibition features work by 50 artists in the gallery, along with an additional 30 artists in the expanded online exhibition. In Focus opens on Friday, August 7, and runs through September 13.

Into the Lights. 2024

Into the Lights was created in the summer of 2024. As part of a one-on-one masterclass with Mark de Paola, a New York-based fashion and fine art photographer, I spent three hours photographing Cecily Flight, a model, frequent collaborator, and friend, at a private redwood forest location in Big Sur. The image emerged from a quiet, spontaneous moment when we came upon a small creek running through the trees.
